Paul Bettany is reported to be in negotiations to star in the upcoming horror western comic book adaptation of Priest for Screen Gems.
The film is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampire. It follows a warrior priest (Bettany) who turns against his church to track down a band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece.
The screenplay has been written by Cory Goodman. Scott Stewart is onboard to direct.
