With the first sequel in production, it seems the studio is gearing up work on the second sequel to Twilight, as Entertainment Weekly reports that Drew Barrymore is in the running to direct Eclipse, the third film of the series based on Stephanie Meyer’s best-selling book.
New Moon is being helmed by Chris Weitz and is due out November 20, 2009. Barrymore recently wrapped up her feature directorial debut Whip It.
Eclipse is scheduled for release on June 30, 2010.
