Antonio Banderas has expressed his confidence in Brit soccer star David Beckham, and believes that he will become a film star when he movies to Los Angeles. Beckham and his wife Victoria (aka “Posh Spice” from 90’s girl group Spice Girls), along with their kids, will be moving stateside next month, July 2007. Beckham is moving to the states to begin his career with the L.A. Galaxy soccer club.
But a superstar on the field is not all that Banderas sees in the future for Beckham. He says: “I guarantee you, we are going to see David Beckham making movies in three or four years from now.”
He’s sure got the whole metrosexual thing down, and is used to the crazed paparazzi in the UK, so from that standpoint it looks like he’d fare well. And he’s certainly got his fair share of female admirers around the globe… but the real question is, can he act?
