Arnie for Terminator 4 Cameo, But Who Will Replace Him?

Arnold GovernatingWord is that Arnold Schwarzenegger, who between you and me is too old to be starring in action flicks - will take a moment away from Governating California to make his contractually obligated cameo in Terminator 4.

Nick Stahl from T3 will star as John Connor, with Jonathon Mostow returning to direct and a 2008 release date already pencilled in. The big question is, if Arnie only appears in passing, then who will play the big robot?

Other monosyllabic muscleheads like The Rock and Vin Diesel spring to mind (actually they’re both much better actors than Arnie). But I’d prefer to do away with all the Arnie “I’ll Be Back” business and instead of actually replacing him just readjust the focus. There’s a fasciating post-apocalyptic world to be had, full of machines that don’t need ex weightlifter’s or wrestlers face’s, just some decent CGI and a story that focuses on John Connor.
