Andrea Bowen, known for her role as teenage daughter in Desperate Housewives as Julie Mayer, is taking on a far more serious role in her next production “Girl Positive”. “Girl Positive”, which will air on Lifetime on June 25th, takes a look at a teen who has a sexual relationship with a boy who is HIV positive. She confides in a teacher at school, who tells Bownen’s character Rachel that she has been living with HIV for 7 years. Their secrets get out and the film shows how hard it is to keep gossip from getting out in today’s high tech world and the affects on people’s lives.
If you are a fan of Bowen, or want to find out more about this film straight from her, you should mark Mon Jun 18 @ 5pm Eastern / 2pm Pacific on your calender. Bowen will have a fan interview and you can participate by following this link.
