American Teen opens July 25th. A documentary about a handful of seniors’ last year of high school. Although it’s touted at real life, looking at the trailers — it appears more staged and slanted.  Perhaps that is because it needs to be entertaining.

The documentary by director Nanette Burstein was reportedly touching and hilarious hit at Sundance, depicting a jock, princess, heart-throb, rebel and geek. The story takes place in a small Indiana town.
