Al Pacino has been given the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement Award. Pacino was was gracious although he was short on words in acceptance speech. Oliver Stone, Kirk Douglas, Andy Garcia and Robin Williams were there witness their friend recieve the honor. Pacino who can be seen in this weekends ‘Oceans 13′.
USA network will air the entire ceremony on June 19th. Pacino, who is now 68, has been acting since 1968. Sean Connery was honored last year with the award and is joined by other notables such as Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Elizabeth Taylor, Alfred Hitchcock, Bette Davis and Jack Nicholson. The Award has been given out for 35 years.
