The Reading Eagle reports that filming is underway in Reading, Pennsylvania on Shyamalan’s highly anticipated The Last Airbender live-action film.
Based on the Nickelodeon animated TV series, the film is being shot at Pagoda on Mount Penn following a two-week stint of location filming in Greenland last month.
Pennsylvania will play host to a series of mythical nations – Air, Water, Earth and Fire. They also plan on filming in Ontelaunee Township and at the William Penn Memorial Fire Tower at a later date.
The film is set to open in theaters July 2, 2010.
