‘Afraid of the Dark’ Del Toro and Miramax Project
Comic book artist-writer Troy Nixey is set to bow as his feature directorial debut with the adaptation of ABC’s 1973 cult classic. Del Toro is adapting Nigel McKeand’s teleplay with his writing partner of the 1997 horror film Mimic Matthew Robbins. Dark pivots on a young girl, sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend. She finds sinister creatures that live underneath the stairs. The original telefilm, Nightmare, in Europe gained a cult following through syndication and home video release. Leave a Reply |
