Actress Carla Gugino Talks About Watchmen
This week’s news comes from actress Carla Gugino, who spoke a little about the film to MTV during the Screen Actors’ Guild Awards ceremony. Carla spoke about the challenge of playing a character who appears twice in the movie, firstly as a young superhero in the early 20th Century, and then later as a washed-up alcoholic in the 80’s. The actress recently appeared in American Gangster, as Russell Crowe’s ex-wife, and did show enough promise to perhaps indicate she can pull off such a difficult task. Gugino’s main focus is speaking of the Watchmen film was spouting compliments about the film’s opening sequence. Apparently, using CGI and an array of other effects, the sequence will set up this alternative world of superheroes but telling of the alternative history leading up to the film’s events, which start with a murder and end up as a global catastrophe. The opening sequence will even splice actual news footage of famous leaders such as Nixon. The full article on Gugino’s minor news can be read here. Leave a Reply |
