8th ‘Potter’ Book?Time magazine named J.K. Rowling Runner-up, In an interview with Time, J.K. Rowling speculated writing an 8th installment of “Harry Potter.” Only this time it would cover another character saying she’s told the story of Harry Potter. But don’t get your hopes up because Rowling says it’s only speculation. Perhaps 10 years from now, she’ll think different and write the 8th book. Currently, she is working on an adult novel and a political fairy tale. Check out 10 questions Rowling answers about Harry Potter at Time magazine’s web site. 4 Responses to “8th ‘Potter’ Book?”Leave a Reply |

Well, whether or not she actually writes it, it was a pretty smart way to get some media attention as she works on her other, non-HP-themed projects.
You should check out her interview; it is very good and heart felt. I don’t think a writer could spend that much time (15 years) with characters and not feel some emotional connection.
Plus, she opened the world of reading to so many children. My daughter loves the HP books, so do I.
She is truly an excellent story teller.
I hope J.K. Rowling decides to write an eighth HP book soon. My six year old daughter read all of the books, and cried for about half- and hour when she figured out that there were no more books.
I understand. If you read the interview with J.K. Rowling in Time magazine, she mentions crying quite a bit while she was writing the last book, finishing the story for good.
It’s an excellent series and opened the world of books to children.
Interestingly, the seventh “Potter” film will be split into two movies. I wish they had done that with number five.
