The 36th Telluride Film Festival announced it will be including a three-part celebration of late artist and film critic, Manny Farber. It will be part of its four-day fest taking place Sept 4-7. The special program will have a book signing of “Farber on Film: The Complete Film Writings of Manny Farber” with editor Robert Polito and Farber’s wife and collaborator, Patricia Patterson.
There will also be a panel discussion with guests, including Patterson, Kent Jones, Jean-Pierre Gorin, and Robert Walsh. Finishing out the event will be a screening of one of Farber’s favorite films that will be announced along with the fest’s program opening day.
