Talking to producers Mark Caton, Gianni Nunnari and Bernie Goldmann, Collider reports that a sequel to 300 is in the works! This was confirmed by the first film’s director Zack Snyder, who additionally revealed that Frank Miller is working on a new story for the film.
In related news, the abovementioned producers are currently working on a Blu-ray disc edition of the film for all the HD nuts out there.

Was it really popular enough to warrant a sequel? I heard more people making fun of it than anything else. I guess they’re hoping for another big gross, whether or not it’s actually any good.
