‘2081′ — Cryptic Trailer2081 is based on Kurt Vonnegut’s “Harrison Bergeron.” An interesting take on the future world where people are handicapped into becoming each other’s equals where athletes are forced wear weights, handsome people must wear masks, everyone is equal and being brilliant is improper. The Handicapper General commands as he doles out handicaps where he sees appropriate, until someone stands up and says “That’s enough!” The talented and exceptional people need to stand out not hide behind chains, weights, posts or masks. The trailer is enigmatic, I hope the movie unspools better, but stars Julie Hagerty and James Cosmo.

Interesting…
Vonnegut’s novels have never translated well onto screen. The awful Breakfast of Champions was an utter bomb. And Cat’s Cradle was scripted but never made.
This is a bizarre idea, especially one to carry over into a feature, but it will be interesting to see regardless.
Yes, interesting is an the way to describe it. I am sure his readers will flock to see the movie, although some will shy away if they here any major alterations.
