Syd Barrett is reported dead today, Syd being one of the founding members of Pink Floyd. Syd is, unfortunately, remembered as one of great bummers in rock music, for his creative talents came from a brain well challenged by a schizophrenia-like metal condition accelerated by LSD, and his name had become synonymous, if a bit inaccurately, with talent being ruined by the rock n' roll lifestyle. In truth, the majority of Syd's mental problems were genetic and unavoidable. There are a lot of videos with which to memorialize Syd, most with an LSD bent, we'll simply go with "See Emily Play" the second single from Pink Floyd and the one thing Syd remarked that he liked seeing again in recent years while watching one of the tribute shows on VH1.
