It's like Jews For Jesus, only absolutely nothing like Jews For Jesus
From about 1977 until about 1980, Skrewdriver was a mediocre sort of hardcore punk outfit. They disbanded about 1981, and in 1982 head Skrewdriver douchebag Ian Stuart suddenly took things in a skinhead direction, picked up some fellow douchebags for support, and re-birthed Skrewdriver as Aryan act. Now, if you had suddenly white power-tinged "Anti-Social" on a mixtape, you felt like a complete ass who had been swindled by a couple of turds.
20 years later, Jewdriver are having fun with it. We're not huge fans of the ubiquitous too cool for the room brand of lazy-assed irony that passes for clever these days, but a bunch of Jews smirkingly covering white power's little house band is a pretty fucking fabulous irony in our book. check out the videos and music and other paraphernalia at Jewdriver's home site
