Curb Your Kightlinger
Tired of the heavy guy-on-guy glamour of Entourage? Ready for a look at the Hollywood life YOU might actually lead? Then go ahead and check out THE MINOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF JACKIE WOODMAN, a new single-camera sitcom on IFC.
From the IFC website: The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman is a herky-jerky romp through Hollywood, courtesy of Jackie Woodman (Kightlinger) and her best friend, Tara Wentzel (Nicholle Tom, The Nanny, The Book of Ruth): two single women trying to carve a niche in Tinsel Town (and on a few bedposts along the way).
Jackie, a writer for a second rate indie film rag, and Tara, a low-level employee at a film production company, are determined to succeed in this fast paced LA scene. Armed only with willful ignorance, fleeting confidence and poor judgment, this lovable, and barely functional duo continually screw up, yet, somehow manage to persevere and stay best friends.

Okay. I'm going to sound rude here.
When did the Online Review of Funny Shit become "Movies and games! WOO!"?
I mean, no offense, but why buy this if you're going to kill it? Your regular readers are, I assume, like me, and they came for the collection of quirky and fun clips, artsy links we'd never find otherwise, and various WTF stuff. Its a site that catered to those of us looking for odd internet humor without the usual deluge of childish and fratboy level stuff.
I personally watched Screenhead because it enlightened me, and opened me up to strange and neat things I'd never encounter otherwise, and I'm sorry but I feel offended that you've taken this site, taken the name, and not even attempted to give the regular readers what they came for.
I know you guys are doing your best. I respect that, but frankly, I feel like you took the site without really knowing twhat it was.

As a long time Screenhead visiter, I have to agree with Harlequin. I'm rooting for you guys to keep Screenhead rolling, but I'm honestly not interested in the direction. The game and movie angle has been covered to death elsewhere (everywhere). Screenhead covered a very unique beat and I hate to see that go.
Throwing out the Dong with the bath water feels like a waste of what Screenhead had built in its little corner of the internets.
Good luck guys.

I have to agree with Harlequin. It's a whole different site now and it seems like, while you may have genuinely wanted to keep some of the screenhead tradition alive, you have had other plans from the get-go. It's a shame. This was a very unique site that is starting to feel like so many other blog sites.

Guys, you've got to remember that the reason Screenhead was sold was that it wasn't making any money, the new guy that's bought Screenhead isn't so stupid that he's going to continue with what has already proven to be a bad buisness.
That said I prefer the old Screenhead too.

Move on, nothing to see here anymore. Anthony Bourdain muses in Kitchen Confidential that when a place changes hands and people start messing with the menu to boost business, it's all over. The people can smell the rot of death in the air. It's no different here. This site just went from being your favorite neighborhood pub that you and like 5 other guys always hung out at, to a denny's restraunt.
