Hans Catosa Interview

conv.jpg

Indiewire has an interview with Hans Catosa, the director of Conversations With Other Women. A film which is essentially about two people hooking up, but filmed entirely in split screen. In the interview Catosa talks about how his religious parents never allowed him to see movies and how the split screen idea for "Conversations" came to him in a dream the night that he snuck out of the house to watch a laserdisks of Citizen Kane and 2001:A Space Odyssey for the first time.

There's also some really dreary stuff about "challenges" and "finance" which I advise you to skip. Hearing about the challenges of an independent filmmaker is something you should only have to do at very boring dinner parties before the game of drunken Russian roulette starts.
