"To men, I am the sweetest flower. They love to drink my nectar."

You may have seen the Yahoo headline that China is attempting to (again) squash the net life of something called "Sister Furong" and not quite known what that means. Sister Furong herself isn't really the story, she's got a sort of lower key Paris Hilton narcissistic - toned kind of internet media fame in China, in which she is famous mostly for seeking fame. Sister Furong is useful to the broader culture as a push against the very restrictive Chinese government's censorship of the net, however, so their cracking down (again, as they have before) is kind of a bummer if taken as a coal mine canary for how the culture is doing, tolerance-wise. China has been becoming slightly more culturally liberal lately, this is a drag along the lines of reading that the American FCC is going after Howard Stern again. Fortunately, Sister Furong has been picked up to do some short film work.
