Die Laughing
Tickle Me Elmo dolls came and went, but during their reign most people over the mental age of 6 seemed to have the same idea about them, something along the lines of "I'd love to skin the giggly little bastards and make a coat out of them."
Someone, artist Kelly Heaton, did. The Surrogate, for which 64 Tickle Me Elmo dolls lay down their cherubic little lives, is a vibrating coat meant to stand in for a live human lover, the Cruella Deville–ish construction of which became an art project all it's own.
