The Empire expands : Sploid!
We're happy to welcome a new site to the Gawker family: Sploid. Sploid, which also doesn't have a scary fugly head on its masthead, bringing the total tally of Gawker sites which don't actively repulse readers up to 11, is now live and fabulous.
"It doesn't repulse me" you say, "but what is Sploid doing for me?" Sploid is the right-at-the bleeding-edge-of-time constantly updated Taboid-style news arm of Gawker inc. Yes, we know what you're saying: "tabloidy news items? Fuck a lemon! On the internet?" Maybe you didn't say "fuck a lemon." Point is, Sploid features the return of former Gawker editor Choire Sicha to daily blogging, as well as the inestimable talents of Ken Layne and Henry Seltzer. Addictive? It makes Heroin look like C-Span2... not Book TV C-Span2 either, 3 am weekday C-Span2. Go check it out.
