The Empire Expands, or, everyone gets bangable masthead glyphs but us

lifehacker babe.JPGTwo new Gawker Media sites go live today, both, to our completely unbiased bug eyes, would appear to be the greatest thing ever set forth by man. Well, Nick Denton, who is beyond man. We hear he only sleeps 2 hours a night and was born in a lunatic asylum. We hear he once punched out a polar bear for chewing loudly.

Gridskipper is a suitably-Gawker swanky travel guide with emphasis on getting as many kinds of the clap as you can. You've never peed fire until you've peed Botswana fire, we can tell you, and Gridskipper aims to see that you know what we're talking about. Or, as editor Andrew Krucoff puts it "-to fill a gap in travel coverage by offering interesting and timely city guide info that isn’t afraid to get dirty where others might hide in the shower of a Ramada Inn."

Lifehacker is the website version of that one hot chick who hangs around with the computer techs in your office, the one who understands the all same geeky info that they do, but can slip you some actually useful advice instead of making you want to punch them in their smug, 13 hour version of The Lord Of The Rings - owning faces.
Wait, what magical hot chick would that be, you stammer? Exactly. The void is now filled. Edited by Gina Trapani of Scribbling.net.
