Pusher
With music reminiscent of mid–career Einstürzende Neubautenand and later Brian Eno*, visuals that politely invoke 2001, Blade Runner, Star Wars, and Mark Romanek (with a cameo from The Overlook Hotel, no less), this blissful QuickTime ad for... something... (KDLab does work for many companies which have products featured) by Joseph Kosinski is one of the most compelling futurephilic excursions into style that we've seen for a long while.
A bit of a load for dial–up, but do it, and watch it with earphones.
Ultra HD [kdlab] Thanks to Libby.
* The music is from Steven Soderbergh's Solaris, John Beeler informs us.
Ed note :
Turns out this is part of the Art Of Speed campaign, for which KDLAB is actually partnered with Gawker media. That right, I did a big self-link. I cop to here lest anyone think I was playing at being unawares and faking my aw sucks level of enthusiasm for the clip. I was, in fact, genuinely unawares, as this was before Screenhead's time, and I simply didn't google it hard enough.
