Apple sly
We're still getting mail correcting us, despite having amended this post about 1/2 hour after we posted it, so we're re-organizing it ass to front, with the update at the top:
Update: "There's a simple explanation why Apple's new cleanroom ad looks just like a music video for The Postal Service: they were both made by the same people. "
Via this wired/cult of mac article: False Alarm: Same Directors Behind Apple Intel Ad/Music Video.
( Thanks to vjarmy for the tip)
Seems apple just helped themselves to The Postal Service's Such Great Heights video for their latest campaign, the one for the Intel Macs. A solid 20 minutes of Googleing hasn't revealed that Apple bought the rights to the Such Great Heights video, and according to the Spunker this is only the latest in a long line of Apple's ads rather tightly "borrowing" from other sources.
