Understated Acting 101

Orson Welles' entrance as Harry Lime in The Third Man. Harry Lime being just one of Welles' characters who carry far more weight than the scarce lines afforded to them. Of course in his later years Welles' characters did nothing but carry weight. And by "carry weight" I mean that Orson Welles got fat. And when I say "got fat" I don't mean the way Britney Spears "got fat". I mean three plates of ice cream and a bottle of scotch got fat.
